Jubilee? No Products Found.
Affiliate marketing relies upon things working, being in a state of operation, functioning correctly- all of which occurs beyond your control. Other peoples websites are relied upon for yours to work. So if theirs go wrong, yours go wrong. Symbiotic relationship working in perfect harmony. My website wasn't built by me either, and as that is broke now- me isn't very happy. It's happened on the Jubilee weekend as well. I imagine hundreds of thousands of people were poised this weekend, ready to click away on my site, buys loads of shit and make me a few quid. As it happens they will be seeing the slogan 'No Products Found'. On Jubilee weekend- how annoying. Of course they want camera related products, they need to photograph this prestigious event. How on earth are they going to do that now? They will be distraught, and will start fretting about where they could possibly go now, as their favourite camera site has let them down- possibly again. I had actually planned in some SEO time for my site over this weekend. I love SEO, its time consuming and so allows me to forget all of my actual, real world problems and absorb myself in article writing, back linking, directory submissions, blog commenting, product promotion........ I liken it to shelling crabs, with one hand. On a unicycle. Underwater. It's that time consuming. And that brings me to Google who I am now a bitch to. Yes people, I'm Google's little bitch, I have to pander and bow and scrape to the Almighty. Before affiliate marketing I had untold respect for Google, and was amazed daily how fantastic their search engine is. Now they own me, with Panda and Penguin algorithm updates that have pissed my site status into the toilet. One question, why does Google name their algorithm updates after animals? That are black and white no less? Is that how they see the web- in black and white? Your website is either a bag of shit or we love it..... It's that simple.
